Join Our Dynamic HEOR Team as an Associate Research Scientist!
Are you passionate about interpreting evidence and using novel methods to evaluate new healthcare innovations? Our Evidence Synthesis and Decision Modeling team is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to join our group of industry-leading professionals. You’ll contribute to systematic literature review, meta-analysis, and indirect treatment comparison projects that demonstrate and communicate the value of new interventions for our pharma and biotech clients.

About You:
- Literature Review Research Expertise: You execute literature reviews within various therapeutic areas, including generating protocols/search strategies, performing/managing study selection and data extraction, and synthesizing results into a clear communication package.
- Meta-Analysis and/or Indirect Treatment Comparison Research Experience: You evaluate studies to note important between-study differences and work with team members to identify the most appropriate analysis method. You work with team members to analyze the data, interpret findings, and communicate results.
- Effective Communicator: You can interpret and communicate study results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: You support project deliverables using tools like Excel, with experience in R programming and literature review platforms (e.g., DistillerSR, Nested Knowledge, etc.) being a plus.
- Project Management: You perform project management functions, ensuring projects progress smoothly by assisting the team in managing timelines, client communications, resource planning, scheduling, and note-taking.
- Team Culture: You contribute to positive team culture by communicating respectfully, supporting your colleagues, and taking initiative to help the team succeed.
About the Role:
- Deliverable Creation: Contribute to deliverables under guidance of more senior team members with methodological/subject matter expertise.
- Project Management: Assist with the delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other staff members to ensure high quality outputs and help ensure timely delivery of project subcomponents by flagging changes to estimates of required hours.
- Client Management: Draft update slides for regular client update meetings under guidance from senior team members with methodological/subject matter expertise; Draft minutes and actions from project update meetings.
- Business Development: Contribute to development of background section, task description, timelines, and references of proposals and presentations under guidance of more senior team members with methodological/subject matter expertise.
Required Experience:
- Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
- Up to 2 years of consulting experience serving biotech, pharmaceutical or healthcare clients, with a focus on health economics and outcomes research
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Helpful Experience:
- PhD in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
- Previous exposure to and understanding of comparative effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and economic modeling studies
- Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Track record of relevant peer-reviewed publications
