The Role
As our Business Development Lead - Apps, your primary focus will be to drive new businesses for our client category App Developers. The leaders in Kayzen’s team who you will closely interact with are our marketing lead and our customer success lead (onboarding and growing customers you sign and bring on board). You will also directly manage the SDR team, setting the team up for long term success and building a scalable and predictable revenue engine. Apart from your primary tasks, you are welcome to contribute to multiple areas in the organization such as product, marketing and partnerships. Since our key product and customer success team members are located globally, we are open to a remote setup for this position. For optimal overlap with customers’ time zones and internal teams your main working location should be anywhere between CET and US East time zone.
Responsibilities
- Excel at acquiring new app customers (focus: outbound) who generate sticky, sustainable revenue growth
- Set the strategy for the app development business and build a GTM plan for scalable growth
- Actively engage with customers, partners and other market participants to identify and propose new opportunities for revenue growth
- Directly manage the SDR team, supporting with strategies for sustainable opportunity creation as well as developing the team
- Cooperate with our marketing team to help build our narrative and communication for the target customer profile of App Developers
- Understand customer needs and bring in new ideas to the leadership and product teams on how we can expand our product to add value for customers
- Continuously identify potential sales and marketing bottlenecks and implement relevant improvements
- Build strong relationships with leaders within the ad-tech industry and key customers and partners. Represent Kayzen at industry events.
- Working closely with the SDR team to build pipeline and create opportunities
- Use Hubspot insights for constantly improving our go to market strategy
Requirements
- At least 8 years of business development experience in ad-tech or mobile app-development industry
- Previous experience in managing B2B sales or partnerships holistically with complex products or services
- Experience of creating and executing a GTM strategy that will ensure goals are met quarter after quarter
- Team leadership experience and a passion for developing people
- Knowledge of the programmatic landscape and understanding of the performance media sector are essential.
- Detail-oriented and process driven with a structured problem-solving attitude and a KPI driven approach.
- Great work ethics, results orientation, persuasiveness and high level of initiative and assertiveness
- Good business acumen with an ability to identify and execute on growth opportunities
