Job Description

PE-backed start-up, DoseSpot is a dynamic and innovative leader in the electronic prescribing software market, and its subsidiary, pVerify, is an industry leading insurance verification solution. We are on a hyper-growth curve at the intersection of the software and healthcare industries. As we continue to expand, our growing Sales team is looking for twoBusiness Development Representatives (BDRs) to help accelerate pipeline growth and outbound sales efforts. In this role, you will be the first point of contact with prospective customers and play a critical part in generating and qualifying new business opportunities for our Client Executives. You'll collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to optimize outreach strategies, refine messaging, and help us bring healthcare innovation to more organizations.

The primary ideal customer profile (ICP) for this role will be health systems and other healthcare organizations evaluating ePrescribing and patient verification solutions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with early-career experience in B2B sales or SaaS, particularly in healthcare or tech, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and Identify Leads: Research and identify potential clients through various channels including social media, online databases, and networking events

  • Outbound Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects via cold calls, emails, and social media, presenting the value of our products/services

  • Qualify Leads: Engage with leads to understand their needs, challenges, and interests, ensuring they are a good fit for our solutions

  • Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects, providing relevant information and resources to move them through the sales funnel

  • Collaborate with Sales Team: Work with the Sales Team to hand off qualified leads and provide insights that can help close deals

  • Collaborate with Marketing Team:Work with the Marketing team to provide feedback on the quality of leads, define and refine ideal customer profiles, and provide input on campaigns

  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity

  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and improve outreach strategies

  • Achieve Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, outreach activities, and qualified meetings set

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degreeor equivalent work experience

  • Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, B2B sales, lead generation, or business development

  • BDR/SDR experience in healthcare technology is preferred, but not required

  • Competencies:

  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales metrics and quotas

  • Ability to engage with prospects and build long-standing relationships

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar CRM)

  • Proficiency in BDR software (e.g., Salesloft,Outreach.io)

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset

  • Familiarity with outbound sales techniques and tools

  • You find prospect objections as a challenge, rather than a motivation

  • You want to source prospects that align to a shorter sales cycle

  • You’re not excited and passionate about selling a healthcare tech product

  • You prefer conducting inbound sales only
