Shift5 is the observability platform for onboard operational technology (OT). We’re a rapidly growing scale-up that specializes in cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, and compliance for operational technology (OT) systems across defense, aerospace, and rail. Shift5 is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Go-to-Market team in our Rosslyn, VA Headquarters. This is an in office position. In this role, your primary responsibility will be driving revenue growth by qualifying leads and developing relationships within the Defense, Aviation, Maritime, and Rail sectors, with a mandatory requirement for federal experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify inbound leads and generate sales-ready opportunities.
  • Research accounts and build relationships with key players.
  • Achieve qualified opportunity quotas.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other tools for lead management and reporting.
  • Provide feedback to improve processes and materials.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Track and report on outreach effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience.
  • Significant experience in federal markets.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM/marketing automation.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $100,000-125,000
