About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic Business Insights Analyst to join our operations team. This position will be a hybrid role focusing on analytics, planning, and growth initiatives. The first core focus area will be a deep dive into analytics that can drive business decisions.
You will blend high-level strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution – working closely with go to market, product, and engineering teams. You will build a scalable data tech stack and drive our baseline business reporting as well as explore new areas of business for us to measure and evaluate.
Your Day-to-Day:
Analytics & Insights:
Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to inform business decisions, including daily operational reports, executive summaries, and board presentations.
Identify and analyze key performance indicators to uncover opportunities for improvement and growth.
Oversee our data pipeline infrastructure, utilizing tools such as Fivetran, Snowflake, and Sigma BI.
Drive growth hacking/marketing insights
Enhance customer utilization reporting to quickly identify successful strategies and areas for improvement.
Elevate the quality and impact of our board reporting through insightful data analysis.
Planning & Analysis:
Manage and refine our financial planning models, focusing on headcount planning and revenue forecasting.
Administer sales commission structures to ensure alignment between incentives and desired outcomes.
Design and enhance forecasting models for sales pipelines, upsells, and customer churn.
Collaborate with leadership to understand and advance company initiatives through strategic planning.
Dive deep into data analysis to inform decision-making and drive business objectives.
Collaboration & Support:
Work cross-functionally to identify areas for improvement.
Engage in various tasks as we grow and evolve—be prepared to wear many hats!
Who you are:
Experience: 3-5 years in data/analytics, finance, or quantitative sales/revenue operations.
Languages: Master at all things sheets/excel, expert with writing effective SQL (or Python if preferred.)
Tools/Skills: We use Fivetran, Snowflake, and Sigma BI. You don’t have to have used those specific tools, but a familiarity with data pipeline tools is needed to hit the ground running.
Process-Oriented: Directly owned or deeply involved in process and system improvements.
Analytical: You can go from 0 to 1 and 1 to 10 on all sorts of reporting infrastructure, structure, and needs.
Communicative: Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Hands-On: Willing to dive deep into processes and execute projects end-to-end.
Adaptable: Flexible and able to adjust to new challenges as the company grows.
Proactive Learner: Enthusiastic about learning and trying new things.
Team Player: Enjoy working both collaboratively and independently.
