Title: Client Finance Manager

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Client Finance Manager to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, ideally with experience in an agency setting. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the financial health of client accounts, focusing on areas like forecasting, billing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivable management. Additionally, you will support vendor management and ensure financial transparency across marketing initiatives. As a Client Finance Manager, you will act as a key advisor to both internal teams and clients, cultivating strong relationships while driving operational excellence. This is an essential role for someone who is analytical, detail-driven, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic financial support to Client Experience teams and actively lead managing client project budgets and forecasting financial performance
  • Manage the forecasting process for client accounts, working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial projections for upcoming projects
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for Integrated Marketing & Managed Care client projects, adhering to contractual terms and project timelines
  • Assist with revenue recognition processes in accordance with accounting standards (ASC 606), ensuring revenue is recognized correctly across all clients
  • Maintain and monitor billing schedules, invoicing, and payment terms ensuring accuracy and clarity in all client accounts
  • Manage accounts receivable for clients, proactively following up on outstanding invoices, minimizing aged balances & bad debt, and working to resolve payment issues quickly
  • Work closely with clients to resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues, ensuring smooth cash flow and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, addressing billing inquiries, payment concerns, and any other financial related questions or issues
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, reporting standards, and processes while maintaining transparent financial information for clients and internal teams
  • Provide financial reports, analysis, and insights to teams as needed, including invoicing queries, audit requests, and client specific contractual reporting requirements

Ideal Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of related financial and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising or marketing service industry
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles (Balance sheet, P&L, AR, etc.), with a focus on client-facing financial management and forecasting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and budgets, balancing client support with financial analysis and projections
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (NetSuite & Workfront, Excel)
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving financial challenges and discrepancies
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel; ability to create and manage complex financial spreadsheets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively
