We're a fully remote team, collaborating globally to bring diverse perspectives to our work. If you're passionate about working at the intersection of creativity, technology, and performance, we’d love to hear from you!

The role:

Reporting to our Content Marketing Manager, as a Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating sales and marketing content that generates brand awareness, leads, and enables our team to close deals faster and more reliably.

You’ll be a key wordsmith on a small but mighty Marketing team embedded in a fast-moving and high-performance agency environment.

Our Marketing team’s mission is simple: contribute consistent, strategic value to every stage of our company’s go-to-market (GTM) efforts. Whether it’s generating brand awareness and leads, accelerating deals, or helping keep our clients happy, we show up every day to help Ready Set grow and scale.

So if you’re excited by smart, fast-paced work with real business impact on a small, tight-knit team with opportunity to learn and grow, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do:

  • Write and publish our weekly company newsletter to our email list
  • Interview our executive team and ghostwrite LinkedIn content (3x/week)
  • Interview team members and clients to create case studies and client success stories
  • Support the Sales process with slide decks, one-pagers, and other enablement copy
  • Help build and evolve our website content to reflect our brand positioning, service offerings, and thought leadership
  • Jump in on other writing projects that support brand, marketing, and revenue goals

What you are good at:

  • A post-secondary degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of writing or content creation experience (in-house, freelance, or agency)
  • Ability to understand our audience’s challenges & motivations and speak their language
  • Skilled at leveraging AI/LLM technology to accelerate and enhance productivity

You are:

  • Obsessed with the written word - You understand the power of well-written copy and its potential to inform, instruct, and influence.
  • Humble, coachable, and curious - You’re hungry to learn and you take feedback well.
  • Proactive and self-motivated - You’re a doer. We’re a remote company and give everyone at Ready Set a ton of freedom.
  • Collaborative - You’re not shy and you work well with team members from other departments.
  • Accessible, responsive, and diligent - You’re able to move fast while also being reliable.
  • Flexible and adaptable - You’re open to learning new things and filling gaps as needed.

What we offer:

  • A hyper-growth startup environment where your work has a real impact on the company.
  • Consistent clarity and context from management, who are accessible to everyone.
  • 100% remote work, collaborating with a talented team distributed across the globe.
  • Competitive salary.
  • Unlimited paid time off.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
