We’re your blog builders, Meridian magazine makers, email strategists, social managers, and video editors, working in close partnership with Design, Copy, Product Marketing, Comms, and other teams across Mercury.
We’re seeking a skilled customer storyteller to help us showcase how our customers achieve success with our products and the real impacts they’re having in the world. You’ll work cross-functionally to develop compelling customer narratives, produce customer-focused multimedia projects, and bring the voice of the customer into campaigns and initiatives across Marketing.
*Mercury is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group, and Column N.A., Members FDIC.
Here are some things you’ll do on the job:
- Partner with Relationship Management,Sales, and others to identify and cultivate relationships with customers who align with GTM priorities.
- Drive the creation of thoughtful and dynamic case studies, blog posts, and video testimonials that bring customer stories to life across multiple channels in both substantial and subtle ways.
- Collaborate with our Organic and Paid Social teams to build social storytelling that heroes the customer, such as UGC, video programs, and more.
- Work across Marketing to develop interesting and strategic campaigns that leverage customer advocacy to demonstrate product value and/or enhance market credibility.
- Establish and maintain efficient processes for continuously sourcing, producing, and promoting customer stories that align with our broader objectives.
You should have:
- 7+ years of B2B marketing experience combining storytelling + customer focus (e.g., content marketing, storytelling, customer marketing, advocacy programs, etc.)
- Strong interviewing and research skills with a penchant for extracting meaningful insights and crafting them into (even more) meaningful narratives
- Well-honed project management skills and a bias toward action, with a track record of driving efficient, high-impact projects and programs from concept to completion
- A heartful but data-driven approach to measuring and analyzing content and campaign performance to optimize impact and understand effectiveness
- Top-notch written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- A natural curiosity about customers’ challenges and achievements, and an ability to identify engaging — and sometimes unexpected — angles that resonate with target audiences
- Creative vision for turning customer successes into high-impact marketing assets
- Empathy, exceptional judgment, and strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and internal stakeholders
- No fear of ambiguity, building into the unknown, or figuring out how to drive something new forward.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with video production and multimedia storytelling
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and content management systems
- Portfolio demonstrating previous success story campaigns or customer marketing initiatives

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
