About this role
As Controller at Pareto, you’ll be the financial backbone of our fast-growing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll own the integrity of our financials, lead the month-end close process, and develop robust systems to ensure scalability and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making and be a critical player in helping us reach the next phase of growth.

What you’ll do:
Lead and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
Own and optimize the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Prepare internal and external financial statements following GAAP
Develop internal controls and improve accounting policies and procedures
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in collaboration with the FP&A team
Manage annual audits and relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
Help implement and maintain financial systems and software
Partner with leadership across the company to provide financial insights that inform strategy
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Deep understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience in high-growth startups or tech companies preferred
Proven ability to manage audits and implement accounting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High integrity, judgment, and professionalism
