As a Director, Ads Product Marketing - Measurement & App, you and your team of ads product marketing managers are responsible for building up our app business and helping advertisers measure the impact of Pinterest media by shaping our portfolio of 1P and 3P measurement solutions and ensuring advertisers have strong signal foundations. You will partner closely with product leadership to set the measurement vision, strategy and roadmap, and enable your team to land the latest innovations in-market. You will own the development and evolution of our app and measurement narrative and drive cross-functional alignment throughout the go-to-market process.
What you'll do:
- Lead a team of talented ads product marketing managers who are responsible for:
- Shaping our product direction through market analysis, research and close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Design teams
- Defining positioning, go-to-market messaging and launch plans for new advertising solutions that unlock meaningful value for our advertisers and contribute to key growth goals
- Assessing the capabilities and value proposition of our advertising solutions through strategic, qualitative, and quantitative analysis
- Developing market expertise to inform business requirements for new products
- Serving as an advocate for our customers; demonstrating broad expertise and empathy for customer pain points
- Driving cross-functional alignment throughout the go-to-market process, tracking success metrics accordingly
- Using data and insights to drive alignment on strategic priorities and influence our overall monetization strategy
- Educating and inspiring internal and external teams on Pinterest’s solutions for advertisers and partners alike
- Building close XFN partnerships across Product, Engineering, Business Development, as well as Sales, Marketing, Communications, PR and Legal
- Lead new solutions for app advertisers
- Oversee our portfolio of 1P measurement solutions (including Conversion Lift, Brand Lift, A/B Testing and more)
- Help advertisers maximize the performance of their media by overseeing programs designed to drive adoption of measurement and signal setup best practices (across web and app)
- Ensure media performance can be measured accurately in the platforms advertisers use to make bid and budget decisions
- Spearhead initiatives that advance key business objectives, leveraging privacy-enhancing technologies
What we’re looking for:
- 13+ years of total experience in advertising with 5+ in product marketing at a fast growing ad tech company
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, a related field or equivalent experience
- Expertise in digital ads measurement, app monetization and the broader ads ecosystem
- Experience working with a variety of measurement tools, platforms and partners (including web analytics, mobile measurement platforms, etc)
- Expertise working with a variety of media measurement tools and methodologies (including incrementality/lift testing, geo experiments/matched markets, a/b experiments, multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, etc)
- Experience working with advertisers pursuing app install & reengagement objectives preferred
- Experience leading a team of product marketers or similar roles
- Experience in online brand and performance advertising with a deep understanding of the advertising landscape; subject matter expertise of advertising measurement, privacy, and analytics solutions preferred
- Sharp eye for detail and proven project management and operational skills
- Keen ability to translate complexity into simple, clear communication and approach
