About the role and why it’s unique:
As the Director of Analytics, Marketing & Promos, you will lead a team that drives data-driven decision-making across marketing, promotions, and CRM. You will partner closely with Digital, Offline & Media, Growth, Creative, Partnerships, CRM & Promos teams to measure marketing effectiveness, optimize campaigns, maximize user acquisition at shorter paybacks, and enhance customer engagement and retention through targeted promotions and CRM strategies. You will:
Drive Marketing & Growth through data
- Own the end-to-end marketing analytics strategy, including attribution, campaign performance measurement, and incrementality testing.
- Develop methodologies for multi-touch attribution (MTA), experimentation, and other techniques to optimize media spend across paid and organic channels.
- Partner with Digital, Media, Growth and Creative teams to measure the impact of creative performance, messaging, and audience segmentation.
- Build insights dashboards to track key marketing metrics and guide decision-making.
- Invest in self-service tools to put data & insights at the fingertips of marketing stakeholders to empower them to make rapid data-driven decisions.
Optimize CRM & Promotions
- Design and implement customer segmentation techniques to optimize lifecycle marketing and retention strategies.
- Analyze the effectiveness of promotions and personalized offers, building frameworks and processes for ongoing A/B testing and continuous optimization, and driving a test-and-learn agenda.
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to develop, implement, test, and improve personalized promo targeting capabilities.
- Help automate customer lifecycle journeys with data-driven insights
Lead and Develop the team
- Build and scale a high-performing analytics team, mentoring data analysts to drive strategic impact.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Executive Leadership to inform marketing and promo investment decisions.
- Advocate for a data-driven culture across marketing and promos, ensuring insights drive business growth and innovation.
Who you are:
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or CRM analytics, preferably in a consumer technology, gaming, or sports betting environment.
- 4+ years of experience as a people manager, preferably 2+ years experience managing managers.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing analytics, including paid media, organic growth, marketing attribution, and experimentation (incrementality testing, etc.).
- Experience working with CRM, lifecycle marketing, or promotions data, analyzing customer segmentation, churn prediction, and engagement strategies.
- Deep SQL expertise and familiarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Sigma, Looker, etc.).
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders across Marketing, Retention, Product, Engineering, and Finance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
Even better if you have:
- Experience working with multi-touch attribution models and media mix modeling in a fast-paced digital marketing environment.
- Familiarity with promotions and retention strategies in a real-money-gaming context.
- Familiarity with SQL-based data transformation tools like dbt.
- A passion for sports, gaming, or the betting industry.
Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $208,000 and $235,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.
