As the Director of International Account Management, you will own teams responsible for driving the adoption of Affirm across enterprise-level merchants in various geographies. This position lives at the intersection of people and partner management and requires the ability to identify strategic opportunities; outstanding skills in relationship-building and program management; and, given the role’s high-profile nature, comfort in reporting out to executive audiences.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding Affirm to new markets. As such, an entrepreneurial spirit will be key to your success. You will need to establish best practices, scale teams and refine their structure, and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is a constant.
This role reports to a Senior Director of Account Management.
What you'll do:
- Manage a portfolio of enterprise accounts against quarterly and annual targets
- Help foster strategic, long-term relationships with key partners. Manage customer health to ensure overall satisfaction and business results
- Frame strategic decisions and make recommendations
- Identify and prioritize goals, driving their execution to support Affirm’s long-term success in new markets
- Drive, oversee, and coach team members in commercial discussions and associated negotiations
- Analyze partner performance and recommend programs to increase product adoption, grow up-funnel awareness and visibility, and sell into expansion opportunities.
- Drive alignment with other cross-functional leaders across various markets and time zones - including from Sales, Analytics, Product, Credit, and Marketing - to innovate and drive results
- Manage seven account managers, with room to expand
What we look for:
- 7-15 years of enterprise customer-facing experience, managing broad account portfolios
- 3-5 years of supervising account teams, including managers and individual contributors, as well as scaling teams
- Expertise negotiating complex commercials
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and navigate large, matrixed merchant organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; outstanding executive presence
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- An obsession for getting the details right, balanced with a bias towards action over perfection
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
- Knowledge of retail, consumer finance offerings, integrated software solutions, and e-commerce preferred
Pay Grade - N
Equity Grade - 12
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
USA On Target Earnings (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $237,500 - $300,000
USA On Target Earnings (all other U.S. states) per year: $211,250 - $273,750
