Job Description

As Director of GTM Operations, you will act as a strategic partner and “Chief of Staff” to our North America sales leadership team. You will lead regional GTM strategy, business operations, and analytics, ensuring tight alignment between sales, marketing, and revenue operations. This role is pivotal in connecting local needs with company-wide objectives, enabling data-driven decisions, and delivering operational excellence.

You will report to the VP, GTM Strategy & Operations. This is a remote eligible position and you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered.

You Will:

  • Serve as Chief of Staff to regional sales leaders, driving cross-functional GTM initiatives and operational execution
  • Lead regional business planning, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing GTM strategy development
  • Partner with Revenue Operations and BI teams to deliver actionable insights, performance tracking, and strategic reporting
  • Own coordination between regional teams and central GTM functions to ensure consistent execution and alignment
  • Orchestrate analytics efforts supporting revenue strategy, territory planning, and sales performance
  • Build and deliver clear, compelling presentations for sales leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Serve as the conduit for regional leadership and Revenue Operations in the annual planning process
  • Support the evolution of our data strategy and reporting by developing analytical frameworks to measure Sales performance
  • Provide actionable insights through hands-on data analysis and collaboration with Sales Ops Analysts & BI
  • Connect central GTM strategy with regional execution needs, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and ops teams
  • Manage and mentor analysts supporting planning, forecasting, and performance tracking

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in GTM strategy, sales operations, or business analytics, including 8+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven success leading teams and mentoring talent in high-growth environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insight
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in tools like Tableau, Snowflake, and Salesforce
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel periodically (up to 10%)
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range
$172,000$230,000 USD
