About the Role
Our Director of Analytics will be an analytical engine behind data-driven decision-making at Rula. You will partner with teammates across the company, including, Data Engineering, Finance, Partnerships, Customer Support, and Clinical Operations, to take ownership of generating insights and recommendations that shape strategy for various teams using data. As a leader of a small team of data scientists, you will draw from your vast analytics toolkit to translate broad questions into actionable research and discovery plans, perform proactive data exploration to identify actionable insights, and communicate results in a compelling manner, often interacting with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of related professional experience; 5+ years of experience aligned to data analytics or data science
A Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field with strong quantitative foundation
Solid people management expertise and talent development, with an emphasis on building and leading analytical teams
Advanced technical proficiency with modern data stacks (i.e. dbt, Airflow, etc.) and data visualization tools (i.e. Looker, Tableau, Hex, etc.)
Strong experience working directly on A/B testing, including experiment design, deployment, dashboarding, results interpretation, and goal setting
A proven ability to connect analytics insights to business strategy, influencing decisions that drive revenue and growth

Experience within a fast-paced, marketplace-focused, high-growth startup environment with the ability to handle dynamic analytical priorities
Expertise in healthcare/health-tech industry
Proficiency with Python/R for analytics/scripting
Experience building processes end-to-end around data standardization, goaling and reporting
