Overview of the Role

  • We are looking for an E-Commerce Catalog Specialist to join a team of operations and platform specialists to help our clients execute winning strategies on Amazon. The E-Commerce Catalog Specialist will act as the liaison between our E-Commerce Client Partnership Team and Amazon to create shoppable product pages, troubleshoot issues, field questions, present solutions, and solve problems for the variety of national brands we represent.
  • This role does not require previous Amazon experience; candidates with Amazon experience will stand out. The ideal candidate for this role is digitally curious, has excellent attention to detail, and is motivated by taking tasks through to completion. They enjoy being a part of a team that gets things done, supports each other, and likes to have fun while doing it.
  • Fully remote, but if local to Chicago, IL will observe a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office).
  • Schedule: Typical business hours apply; willingness to work on Eastern or Central time zone working hours appreciated.
  • Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience, qualification and skills.
  • Travel required: less than 10%, i.e. industry trade shows, client national sales meetings, E-Commerce Team meetings, and /or any other events.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

  • Collaboration: provide internal support to Client Partnership Managers and other team members, and attend external meetings as a catalog team representative
  • Product listing setup: format and upload product details, content, variations, images, and videos
  • Product listing maintenance: correct product detail page inaccuracies and execute intentional updates
  • SEO: search engine optimization on new and existing product listings
  • Upload A+ content and brand store modules
  • Fulfillment by Amazon supervision and troubleshooting
  • Account health oversight: shipping metrics, inventory issues, listing enhancements
  • Compliance: troubleshooting and product document submission
  • Correspondence: maintain daily oversight of communication with Amazon Support to ensure issues and problems are corrected promptly

What You Should Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or similar industry experience
  • Experience with a major retailer (brick & mortar or online)
  • Strong communication skills: ability to articulate complex concepts and processes in a concise manner
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Internal motivation to take initiative, learn, and become an Amazon expert
  • Team player that can both ask for and offer help
  • Demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving
  • Discipline to work remotely and independently
  • Ability to take a project through from creation to completion
  • Proficient with all necessary computer-based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

You Will Stand Out if You Have

  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller and/or Vendor Central
  • Experience with Fulfillment by Amazon process and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Vendor Central POs, chargebacks, and shortages
  • SEO knowledge and practice
  • Copywriting experience
  • Experience working in an agency environment
