This role is completely remote-friendly. If you happen to live close to one of our physical office locations, our doors are open for you to come into the office as often as you'd like.

The role and the team:
As Engineering Manager, ML Feature Platform, you’ll lead the team building and scaling the core feature store that powers machine learning across Reddit. From Feeds Ranking and Recommendations to Ads and Content Understanding, you'll lead the platform that enables ML engineers to compute, store, and serve the features behind Reddit’s most critical systems — directly shaping how hundreds of millions of users discover content and connect with communities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and long-term evolution of Reddit’s ML Feature Store and Feature Engineering infrastructure
  • Drive high-impact, high-leverage projects that align with Reddit’s broader engineering and business goals
  • Build and grow a high-performing team, including hiring, mentoring, and creating a culture of technical excellence
  • Establish and champion best practices for the production, consumption, and governance of machine learning features
  • Partner with AI Serving, ML Training, and Infrastructure teams to generate step-function change in ML capabilities at Reddit

Who You Might Be:

  • 2+ years of experience in people management
  • 7+ years of work experience in a production software development environment
  • Strong focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and ease of use. You are an undying advocate for platform users and have a deep intuition for the machine learning development lifecycle.
  • Experience working on large-scale ML Systems serving 100s of millions of users
  • Experience building feature stores and feature engineering infrastructure
  • Experience developing applications using large-scale open source data stacks in production, e.g, Kafka, Flink, Cassandra, Redis, and Ray a huge plus
  • Strong organizational & communication skills

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is:
$230,000$322,000 USD
