The Monetization team is responsible for driving revenue growth through innovative product features and optimized user experiences. We leverage data-driven strategies and cutting-edge technologies to enhance our monetization platforms and maximize business impact. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic Monetization team and play a pivotal role in shaping our Growth and Monetization initiatives. What you’ll do:
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 to 5 experienced engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Own the technical vision and execution for monetization initiatives, driving the development of features that enhance revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Analysts to define roadmaps, prioritize projects, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for development, code reviews, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable systems specifically for monetization.
- Drive the planning and execution of A/B testing strategies related to monetization, collaborating with the team to analyze results and iterate on improvements.
- Break down large projects into manageable milestones, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively address challenges.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and ensure that architectural decisions align with business goals and scalability requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- At least 5 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, preferably in a growth-focused environment.
- Experience writing technical documents that detail architectural decisions and performing code reviews to uphold software quality standards.
- A solid understanding of modern web technologies and frameworks (React, Next, Typescript).
- Good understanding of back-end development and RESTful APIs
- Proficient in utilizing analytics and A/B testing platforms like Google Analytics, Amplitude, Optimizely, and LaunchDarkly.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Design teams to develop and execute feature roadmaps.
Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $158,000 - $216,500
- All other US cities outside above metro areas: $142,200 - $194,850
