Job Description

Datavant is a data platform company and the world’s leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format.

Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world’s leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care.

By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we’re rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare’s most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.

What We’re Looking For

Datavant is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented ERP NetSuite Senior Administrator to lead the configuration, maintenance, and governance of our enterprise financial system. This role will support the stabilization, enhancement, and long-term scalability of NetSuite across a rapidly growing, multi-entity environment.

You’ll partner closely with Finance, IT, Security, and external vendors to ensure our NetSuite platform is optimized for accuracy, audit compliance, and performance. This is a high-impact role with visibility across Finance leadership, Audit, and Program Management.

What You Will Do

System Administration & Optimization

  • Own day-to-day NetSuite configuration: custom fields, records, workflows, approval routing, user roles, and scripts
  • Remediate legacy customizations and streamline processes in alignment with best practices
  • Maintain sandbox governance, configuration migration, and release testing
  • Implement approved enhancements and manage configuration changes to reduce reliance on legacy scripts
  • Ensure configurations are audit-aligned and support multi-entity operations
  • Oversee sandbox refreshes, cloning, and configuration migration
  • Manage deployment of tested enhancements and scripts between environments
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors during upgrade cycles or break/fix escalations

Issue Resolution & Support

  • Troubleshoot posting failures, approval delays, and integration errors across modules (e.g., RevShare, FX, JE automation)
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes
  • Serve as Tier 2/Tier 3 NetSuite support for Finance and Operations users
  • Identify root causes for recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions

User Access & Role Management

  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls in coordination with HCM and Omada
  • Audit admin privileges and clean up legacy or over-privileged roles
  • Support onboarding/offboarding workflows and audit traceability requirements

Reporting & Audit Readiness

  • Support preparation and delivery of system-generated reports for internal and external audit
  • Maintain documentation of all configuration changes, workflows, and approval logic
  • Ensure system compliance with SOX, GAAP, and internal ITGC standards
  • Coordinate user provisioning and deprovisioning in partnership with Omada, HCM, and IT Security
  • Audit and clean up admin-created roles and permissions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Finance, IT Systems, Audit, and third-party vendors (e.g., PwC, Genpact) on roadmap execution
  • Participate in project governance, discovery sessions, and UAT support for system enhancements
  • Align NetSuite configuration with Coupa, HighRadius, Snowflake, and other integrated platforms

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Monitor and troubleshoot NetSuite system issues, interface jobs, and integrations with third-party tools like HighRadius, Coupa, and MuleSoft
  • Collaborate daily with Finance, Accounting, and RevOps teams to resolve system pain points and clarify requirements
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls in coordination with IT Security
  • Build and maintain saved searches, dashboards, workflows, and reports to support financial close, forecasting, and audit readiness
  • Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies in areas like revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, or payment processing
  • Participate in daily stand-ups or cross-functional syncs related to system enhancements, process automations, and UAT support
  • Document changes, enhancements, and SOPs in a centralized knowledge base to promote process clarity and audit compliance
  • Work with vendors and consultants to scope and execute enhancements, bug fixes, or larger system optimization efforts
  • Explore opportunities to reduce manual work and increase reliability through NetSuite-native tools, SuiteScript, or middleware logic

What You Need to Succeed

  • 7+ years administering NetSuite ERP in a multi-entity or high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of NetSuite modules: GL, AR/AP, approvals, roles, reporting
  • Experience with saved searches, SuiteFlow, SuiteScript (read/debug level)
  • Familiarity with financial audit processes and SOX compliance
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

What Helps You Stand Out

  • Experience with IPO preparation or SOX implementation
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Coupa, or HighRadius integrations
  • Prior experience in a healthcare data, SaaS, or multi-entity organization

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
