FanDuel Group is seeking a Director of Federal Government Relations to join its government relations team. This role will advance advocacy efforts across the federal government. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience managing relationships with legislators, executive branch officials, and political stakeholders.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

This position will work with a fantastic team of government relations professionals, striving to open new markets for deployment of FanDuel’s best-in-class products. Reporting to FanDuel’s Head of State Government Relations, this role will focus on advancing FanDuel’s public agenda in several states, including:
- Lead engagement with external lobbying firms, trade associations, and other political organizations to shape and influence federal policy issues relevant to FanDuel.
- Develop and execute FanDuel’s federal legislative strategy and messaging in coordination with third-party partners and internal stakeholders.
- Design and oversee public affairs campaigns aimed at advancing FanDuel’s federal legislative priorities.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between the Government Affairs function and key internal teams—including External Affairs & Partnerships, Compliance, Product, and Commercial—regularly briefing stakeholders on legislative and regulatory developments.
- Represent FanDuel before federal policymakers and key external stakeholders, advocating on behalf of the company and its customers.
- Interpret complex legislation and assess potential business impacts, delivering concise analysis under tight deadlines.
- Lead on FanDuel’s portfolio of national public policy programs aligned with enterprise goals, including oversight of the company’s political engagement strategy.
- Align and communicate FanDuel’s policy positions across U.S. State and Canadian government affairs teams and internal business units; serve as a key point of contact with external industry groups such as the Sports Betting Alliance (SBA) and the American Gaming Association (AGA).
- Oversee ongoing legislative monitoring and analysis, proactively identifying and addressing issues of strategic importance.
- Ensure FanDuel’s presence and participation at high-impact industry events, conferences, and forums shaping public policy.

- Experience building coalitions and working with industry stakeholders to develop consistent goals and strategies for passing legislation;

The applicable salary range for this position is $159,000 - $199,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
