About the Role
We are looking for aFinOps Specialist to join our Technology team. This role will be responsible for optimizing cloud costs, working closely with Engineering teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and financial accountability. The FinOps Specialist will also handle forecasting, instance reservations, and cost visibility, reporting directly to the Head of Cloud & Platform.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across multiple services
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement cost-effective cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain cloud cost forecasting models
- Manage Reserved Instances and Savings Plans to optimize long-term costs
- Provide visibility and insights into cloud expenses through dashboards and reports
- Define and promote best practices for cloud cost governance
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in cost management
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a FinOps or cloud financial management role
- Hands-on experience with AWS (experience with GCP, Azure, or other cloud providers is a strong plus)
- Deep knowledge of cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Google Cloud Billing, CloudHealth, Cloudability)
- Strong experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and enterprise-level cost optimization strategies
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and partner closely with Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, IT, Cloud Computing, or Business) is a strong plus
- Someone who actively contributes to the FinOps community, speaks at conferences, or is regarded as a trendsetter in cloud financial management
- Full professional proficiency in English (mandatory)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner orAWS Certified CloudPractitioner
- Experience with automation tools for cost management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to present financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and self-driven mindset.
