Job Description
About Lume and Mando Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men’s line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men’s personal care category. From whole body deodorants to body washes, our product offerings arm men with the confidence to show up as their best selves as they move about their busy day.
Lume and Mando is part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, and Mando. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,” the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date. |

About the Role
Lume + Mando is looking for a Head of Consumer Insights & Analytics (CIA). This role will elevate decision-making across Lume + Mando through robust, data-driven insights that shape marketing, product, innovation, retail and corporate strategy.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for building the vision for a new team at Lume and Mando. You’ll help us understand who our customers are, what they need, how they behave, and where we can do better. You’ll lead research and analytics that directly inform decisions across product, brand, marketing, and growth. We’re looking for someone who’s as comfortable designing a long-term insights strategy as they are digging into the data, running studies, and advising senior leaders.
What you will accomplish:
- Develop and execute a world-class insights and analytics strategy; set the overall strategic direction of the CIA team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and refresh near- and long-term learning plans that tackle our most important decisions
- Break down silos to harness collective insights and inflect impactful change
- Pull together the right skill sets at the right times to answer questions holistically
- Integrate analytics and learnings into action plans executed by commercial teams
- Build pattern recognition for the org on how best to answer questions across disciplines
- Establish best practices for analytics and insights across Lume and Mando, with reach into the broader Mammoth Brands company and teams
- Be a partner and resource on marketing measurements. Play a key role in defining marketing strategy, investment levels, and future revenue growth and marketing forecasts.
- Manage a talented, high impact, and resourceful team
- Drive prioritization thoughtfully through deep partnership with Brand/Channel/Supply Chain leads
- Have a full picture of bandwidth across sub-functions, and dynamically flex as needed
- Coach and mentor functional leads and ICs to grow within and across skill sets
- Foster a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and analytical excellence
- Determine which tools yield highest ROI for the company and team; manage resourcing and budget accordingly
- Define the embedded role of a centrally-located CIA team member with their functional lane; ensure business insights drive analysis and vice versa, allowing business leaders to receive daily, actionable data.
- Make it easy for stakeholders to line up support and get answers quickly
- Leverage existing resources to develop a dedicated support model for our DTC, eCommerce and Retail functions.
- Cultivate a culture of self-serve data access and the tools to support it where channel teams are empowered to ask and answer questions without becoming overly reliant on the analytics team.
- Ensure analytics infrastructure and tools are best-in-class and future-ready.
- Ensure our data – and the systems it lives in - is available and accurate, in partnership with the engineering team. Partner on dashboards, data visuals, and information sharing across the company.
- Serve as a core member of the Lume and Mando leadership team.
This should describe you:
- Proven leader in high-growth, fast-paced environments: You attract and develop top talent, align teams around clear priorities, and lead with focus in dynamic, fast-changing conditions. You bring structure to ambiguity, adapt quickly, and drive clarity, collaboration, and results—even with limited information. You’ve successfully managed and developed data technicians.
- Analytical, with strategic insight: You come from a strategy background, category retail background, or insights background – but your experience goes beyond simply technical. You are a skilled storyteller and a connector of dots. You have exposure to – if not deep experience in – primary research and advanced analytics, and fluency in emerging methodologies and platforms.
- Intuitive commercial understanding: You intuitively get that our customers and end consumers are more nuanced than someone to sell products, features and benefits to. You understand what makes them tick and can develop creative solutions to motivate them based on deep insights around their journeys
- Impact-driven and empathetic: You listen closely, seek to understand what motivates others, and act on that insight to build strong teams and trusted partnerships. Your empathy drives engagement, loyalty, and better outcomes across teams and customers alike.
- Omni-channel thinker: You intuitively understand how direct-to-consumer and retail channels work and you can learn quickly to fill in any gaps.
- Clear communicator: You synthesize the most complex problems into clear ideas and tailor messages and communicate clearly to diverse audiences. You translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive decisions across product, brand, marketing, and beyond.
- Pragmatic and results-driven: You solve tough problems with creativity, practical thinking and accountability, holding yourself and others to high standards to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Exceptionally cross-functional: You build strong, trust-based relationships across teams and know how to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals.
Here's who you'll work with:

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
