This is a 12 month fixed-term-contract
As a Head of Product, you will:
Lead the strategic direction and growth of our Americas Tax Portfolio as Head of Product. You'll tackle complex, long-term product problems and cultivate high-performing product teams through exceptional people leadership. This role is pivotal in expanding our customer base into highly complex and ambiguous markets, requiring expert stakeholder management and the development of both new and experienced product leaders.
- Network across Xero to ensure the products within the portfolio connect to Xero’s strategy, objectives and future
- Provide leadership, shaping the team vision, culture, product team scope and ways of working
- Drive product strategy and a coherent narrative for your product area
- Lead a team of product managers and senior product managers to develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap
- Coach team members and elevate product management capability and performance in your team and the wider division
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product marketing to bring new products to market
- Deeply understand your customers, and drive shared understanding of target segments across your team and stakeholders
- Be an effective spokesperson for the product, communicating effectively with executives and other stakeholders
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in relevant industry and technology
- Develop and implement strategies to drive product adoption and growth.
- Around 10 years' experience in product management.
- A good understanding of accounting and compliance
- Experience working within a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong people leadership skills
- A track record of solving complex customer, commercial, and technical problems.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Love learning new things and willing to push boundaries and drive new thinking
- Have strong product and people leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead and motivate and develop a team of product managers
