How you’ll make an impact
The Head of Solutions Consulting is a key leadership role on the UK Sales leadership team. You will be responsible for driving deployment penetration of our existing partner base in the UK, specifically pre and post sales solutions consulting and implementation to support partners on their journey to becoming a digital accounting or bookkeeping practice.
You’ll be responsible for developing the UK solutions consulting strategy and embedding sales motions to enable our partners to get the most out of and move their workflows into Xero, enabling the sales team to move more of their clients on to the platform.
You will have exceptional leadership skills and will define, build and grow a successful Solutions Consulting function within the UK. You’ll provide strategic input to the overall UK Sales team, acting as a conduit into feedback for the GTM and Product teams through the Sales Director. This is a high-impact role where you will lead and inspire a team to achieve ambitious targets and build strong, lasting relationships. You will represent the UK Solutions Consulting function as part of regular contact with counterparts around the globe, to ensure alignment of global consulting strategy and execution.
- Ownership of the UK consulting & implementation strategy, revenue target, processes and procedures
- Execute strategy to streamline implementation of Practice products allowing for fast deployment and onboarding of Xero practice tools through both Self implementation & consulting supported implementations
- Represent the UK Solutions Consulting function as part of regular contact with counterparts around the globe, to ensure alignment of global consulting strategy and execution
- Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team
- Develop a succession plan for the hire and development of new talent
- Explore and define a strategy for the use of Demo Automation and Intelligence solutions, to refine the current demonstration delivery.
- Set clear goals and expectations, and provide ongoing performance feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success
- Drive collaboration with other Xero functions such as Product, Marketing and Education
- Stay ahead of and proactively own industry trends and the competitive landscape, keeping key stakeholders across developments and opportunities
- Provide insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to develop both the regional and global consulting strategy
- Achieving revenue and deployment targets, delivering consistency and predictability within the consulting function
- Achievement against churn, reactivations and re-contracting targets
- Driving significant efficiencies in function through improved processes and use of technology
- Successful ownership and development of the end-to-end penetration sales funnel
- Creating a world-class culture for your team
- Hiring, retaining and developing great talent
- Build processes and tools to execute the long term strategy of the Solutions Consulting team across the region and inputting strategically at a global level.
- Extensive experience in a consulting leadership role with proven ability to increase key metrics through the development of high performance teams and effective sales processes
- Expertise and deep knowledge of the accounting and bookkeeping industry
- Extensive knowledge of SaaS models, Saas metrics, and online sales models
- Previous experience in building and running consulting teams in a high growth SaaS business
- Speaks articulately about the importance of Solutions Consulting within the sales team and acts as an ambassador across the organisation; fosters a sense of urgency regarding partner needs.
- Tailors communication for different stakeholders in a way that inspires belief and optimism in Xero's value proposition.
- Creates and maintains effective partnerships across Xero; identifies some ways to build and strengthen these relationships.
- Takes risks in the pursuit of better; is curious and takes the initiative to innovate and continuously improve.
- Drives other teams to support delivery of outcomes that are commercially beneficial to Solutions Consulting and Xero.
- Extensive industry knowledge, contacts and networks.
- Exemplary people leadership skills and experience, particularly in coaching and driving a high performance function.
