The Team:

Upstart’s Investor Relations team helps the investment community understand our business, strategy and financial performance. Our key stakeholders include sell-side research analysts and investors interested in Upstart’s stock (NASDAQ: UPST).

As the Investor Relations Associate at Upstart, you will report into the VP of IR and play a pivotal role in executing Upstart’s IR strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with team members across the business, with direct exposure to leadership and the investment community.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Earnings and annual meeting support: assist with business diligence, coordinate event logistics, help prepare investor materials as needed, ensure smooth day-of event execution.
  • Investor event coordination: organize and execute investor events including conferences, non-deal roadshows, and bus tours, managing logistics and participant coordination.
  • Management briefing materials: provide weekly investor engagement previews to enhance relationship building and high-quality interactions.
  • Analyst and investor engagement and analysis: responsible for coordinating and calendaring analyst and investor meetings, track interactions in our CRM to monitor engagement progress, conduct weekly ownership tracking and quarterly 13-F filing reviews.
  • Competitive analysis: keep an eye on competitor earnings and industry trends, help distill takeaways for management.
  • Other projects. Maintain the IR website, file press releases and Nasdaq alerts, collect sell-side materials and keep an eye on consensus estimates, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or a related field
  • Approx. 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technology companies (marketplace businesses), fintech, or financials
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
  • Skilled with Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, rolling up your sleeves to get the job done

At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

In addition, Upstart provides employees with target bonuses, equity compensation, and generous benefits packages (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k).
