The Team:
Upstart’s Investor Services team is responsible for managing relationships with institutional capital investors, ensuring they have the necessary support, data, and insights to confidently invest in Upstart’s loan products. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless connection between Upstart’s borrower marketplace and the investors who provide the capital that fuels lending.
As the Investor Services Associate at Upstart, you will collaborate cross-functionally to help ensure a seamless onboarding experience for our capital partners, assist with investor due diligence and audit requests, and support Investor Services’ key initiatives and ongoing operational duties.
Position Location - This role is available in the following locations: Remote
Time Zone Requirements - This team operates on West Coast time zones.
Travel Requirements - As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely. The majority of our employees can live and work anywhere in the U.S but are encouraged to to still spend high quality time in-person collaborating via regular onsites. The in-person sessions’ cadence varies depending on the team and role; most teams meet once or twice per quarter for 2-4 consecutive days at a time.
How you’ll make an impact:

- Support investor operations, including onboarding, due diligence and audit requests, and addressing investor inquiries
- Enhance operational workflows that are fundamental to capital partner support by proactively identifying meaningful opportunities for efficiency and automation.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets, Legal, and Bank Partnerships teams to support various partner initiatives and secondary transactions
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Product teams to refine internal and external tools, and to accompany investor requests in a thoughtful and scalable manner
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with external parties to ensure alignment towards time-sensitive tasks, and escalate gating items effectively as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in financial services, investor relations or related field.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external investors and internal teams
- Highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with project management and/or due diligence and audit support
- Experience in a client-facing and/or liaising role supporting complex initiatives
- Experience in investor services, asset management, financial operations, or a similar field.
- Proficiency with the Google product suite, Atlassian/JIRA, SmartSheets, or other project management software
- Familiarity with loan servicing, fintech, or capital markets operations.
At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
