Right now, we are looking for a QA Tech Lead to join our team!
About your role
As a QA Tech Lead, you will take ownership of the testing architecture and execution across web platforms and APIs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, guide a team of QA engineers, and work hands-on in both manual and automated testing environments. This role emphasizes API-based testing and system-level debugging, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
You will be responsible for crafting comprehensive test strategies, integrating modern test tools and frameworks, and enabling continuous quality improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to define test plans and deliverables
- Architect and implement scalable test automation frameworks and suites
- Write and review high-quality test code and ensure adherence to best practices and performance standards
- Independently debug complex web applications, including identifying network calls and analyzing payloads
- Support continuous improvement in QA workflows, automation, and performance testing strategies
- Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of new QA engineering talent
- Diagnose issues and create detailed, reproducible bug reports and technical documentation
What will help you succeed
Must have:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or SDET with leadership or team lead responsibilities
- Experience with performance testing tools like Locust or Azure Load Testing
- Ability to make command-line requests using curl or similar tools
- Ability to read (and ideally write) Java code, supporting alignment with development stacks
- Strong understanding of REST vs RPC, HTTP verbs, and content types
- Experience designing automated test frameworks and suites (UI and API-based)
- Comfort working with Agile methodologies and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across remote teams
- Passion for mentoring, team development, and quality engineering excellence
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solutions
- Familiarity with Katalon Studio or similar UI test automation tools
- Experience with GraphQL and lightweight REST APIs
- Experience working with NoSQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to cross-functional discussions on automation philosophy and stack alignment
