Ro is the only company to offer nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services. This is enabled by Ro's vertically integrated platform that helps patients achieve their goals through a convenient, end-to-end healthcare experience spanning from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Since 2017, Ro has helped millions of patients, including one in every county in the United States, and in 98% of primary care deserts.

Ro has been recognized as a Fortune Best Workplace in New York and Health Care for four consecutive years (2021-2024). In 2023, Ro was also named Best Workplace for Parents for the third year in a row. In 2022, Ro was listed as a CNBC Disruptor 50.

AsManager of Licensing & Credentialingon the Practice Operations team, you will lead the systems and processes that ensure every clinician practicing on our platform is properly licensed, credentialed, and compliant with state and federal regulations. You will build scalable infrastructure to manage ongoing licensing and credentialing workflows across hundreds of MDs, NPs, and RNs nationwide. You’ll oversee the end-to-end lifecycle: from onboarding and initial licensing, to renewals and audits, to expanding multi-state licensure. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Legal, People, Compliance, and Clinical leadership to ensure our workforce is always ready and able to deliver high-quality care without interruption. You’re a systems thinker with an eye for risk and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where accuracy and timeliness are non-negotiable.

What You'll Do:
  • Own and oversee the full licensing and credentialing program for Ro’s provider workforce, including MDs, NPs, and RNs across all 50 states and DC.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain scalable systems for provider onboarding, state license acquisition and renewal, and credentialing with payors or partners as needed.
  • Optimize supervision protocols for Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, ensuring alignment with state-specific laws.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, proactively flagging upcoming expirations and changes in state requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to licensing and compliance policies; investigate and drive remediation plans in instances of non-compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for state licensing boards, certification entities, credentialing organizations, and vendors.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to expand provider licensure footprint.
  • Prepare for and support audits, whether internal or external, by maintaining rigorous records and documentation.
  • Manage and mentor a small team responsible for administrative licensing/credentialing tasks.
  • Partner with Legal, People Ops, Clinical, and Product to ensure end-to-end provider compliance and readiness for any changes in scope, geography, or regulation.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare licensing & credentialing and provider onboarding, ideally in a fast-growing telehealth or multi-state healthcare environment.
  • Deep knowledge of licensure and credentialing requirements for MDs, NPs, and RNs across U.S. states.
  • Proven ability to build or optimize scalable systems that support hundreds of clinicians across multiple states.
  • Experience with credentialing databases and platforms (e.g., CAQH, Nursys, Verisys, Medallion, etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and comfort managing complex workflows and sensitive data.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with tight timelines.
  • Clear communication style and ability to collaborate with both operational and clinical stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset—always looking ahead to prevent compliance gaps or licensing disruptions.
  • Experience managing direct reports is a bonus.

  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance + OneMedical membership
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care FSA
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Flexible PTO
  • Wellbeing + Learning & Growth reimbursements

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
