Job Description

About the Team

The Performance Excellence team is transforming how DoorDash measures and improves quality. We’re building a scalable, automated QA system that delivers real-time insight into every customer interaction—powering faster decisions, better coaching, and a safer experience for customers, Dashers, and merchants. We’ve proven success in support and are now expanding our quality coverage into high-impact domains like Fraud, Integrity, and Risk.

About the Role

As Manager, QA Strategy & Expansion, you’ll lead cross-functional initiatives to bring structured QA systems into new, complex parts of the business. This is a structured generalist role, ideal for someone who excels at driving clarity, building programs from scratch, and working across technical and non-technical teams. You’ll guide initiatives from strategy through implementation—defining new metrics, launching scalable systems, and helping shape the future of QA at DoorDash. You’ll also influence the QA tech roadmap to ensure we’re investing in the right tools and infrastructure for scale.

You’ll report into the Senior Manager of QA Design & Enablement on our Performance Excellence team within the Customer Experience organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Lead strategic initiatives to expand QA systems into new areas like Fraud, Integrity, and Risk
  • Partner with Product, Operations, ML, and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver scalable, high-impact quality programs
  • Help shape the long-term QA tech roadmap and prioritize key investments in automation and infrastructure
  • Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous problems, aligning stakeholders and driving execution end-to-end
  • Build systems, workflows, and documentation that make new QA capabilities measurable, actionable, and sustainable
We’re excited about you because…
  • You have 6+ years of experience in generalist roles such as program management, strategy, operations, or product ops
  • You’re a structured thinker who thrives in ambiguity and can turn vision into execution
  • You’ve led cross-functional programs that span technical and business teams
  • You bring strong analytical and project management skills, with a bias for clarity, impact, and velocity
  • You have experience launching new systems, processes, or capabilities from scratch
  • Hands- on experience with OpenAI/ChatGPT prompt design or large-scale conversational analysis is a strong asset
  • You’re passionate about building systems that improve quality, trust, and performance at scale

We expect this position to be filled by 9/23/25.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
