The Role

As the Manager of Salesforce Administration, you will lead a Salesforce team and take ownership of all requests for the organization, including change management and governance. Your ability to communicate, prioritize, and manage all aspects of Salesforce projects will be fundamental to your success in this role. Additionally, as the Manager of Salesforce Administration, your understanding of solution design and its considerations, including concepts in the Salesforce architect domain will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales funnel.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for our Salesforce platform, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee Release Management: Manage the deployment schedule for administrative changes and ensuring quality assurance and testing are completed.
  • Oversee Team Workload and Capacity: Triage incoming support tickets, administrative requests, and assigning tasks based on individual strengths and development goals.
  • Maintenance Planning: Proactive system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, and system health checks.
  • Mentor Team Members: Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce administrators and developers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage Team Performance: Set clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Direction: Offer expert technical guidance and best practices for Salesforce solutions, architecture, and integrations.
  • Operational Health Ownership: Monitoring system performance, usage, and data storage, and proactively addressing potential issues for the Salesforce platform.
  • Enforce Platform Governance: Ensure the team adheres to the architectural standards, data policies, and best practices defined by the Salesforce Solution Architect.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to Salesforce projects and operations.
  • Translate Business Needs: Partner with stakeholders to understand their challenges and collaborate with the Project Manager and Architect to refine requirements for the development backlog.
  • Partner with the Salesforce Architect to provide insights on platform capabilities, administrative effort, and technical debt that will inform the strategic roadmap.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching and developing a technical team.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce administration, including governance, security, and data management best practices.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM 201) required.

Nice to Haves But Not Required

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or other relevant certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with dedicated Architect and/or Project Manager roles.
  • Experience in establishing and managing operational metrics (SLAs, ticket resolution times).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building relationships and leading through influence.
  • Strong ability to manage priorities and triage requests in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $117,500 - $160,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.

Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
