About the Opportunity
Salsify’s Market Strategy team drives long-term growth through actionable, evidence-based strategic recommendations. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Market Strategy Analyst to help shape the company’s future strategy through in-depth market analysis, sophisticated financial modeling, and impactful data-driven insights. This role requires a blend of traditional consulting skills, robust analytical capabilities, and a high degree of initiative and ingenuity — an ideal opportunity for critical thinkers ready to take on greater responsibility and make significant contributions.gm
What You’ll Do
- Market Analysis: Lead structured and comprehensive market research using both quantitative and qualitative sources to identify trends, disruptions, and emerging opportunities with minimal guidance.
- Advanced Data Analysis & Insights: Expertly leverage SQL and other tools to aggregate, clean, and analyze complex datasets, deriving business insights that directly influence strategic recommendations.
- Financial & Strategic Modeling: Develop and refine dynamic financial models to assess and compare growth opportunities (e.g., size total addressable markets, forecast potential revenue, evaluate investment returns, etc.).
- Strategy Development: Apply critical thinking and analysis to help evaluate and prioritize opportunities, proactively developing recommendations that facilitate strategic decisions.
- Presentation & Communication: Synthesize insights into compelling, outcome-oriented recommendations for leadership through reports, presentations, financial models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead collaborative efforts with cross-functional stakeholders on strategic initiatives, effectively communicating or co-authoring implications and refining recommendations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytic / quantitative field such as business, economics, finance, or engineering - or have sufficient experience and knowledge required for the role.
- 3-5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in market strategy, consulting, or a demonstrably analytical role.
- Proven ability to problem-solve independently, including breaking down complex problems, logically structuring thoughts and analysis, identifying key questions, challenging assumptions, and recommending solutions.
- Strong business acumen, including general business concepts and terminology, strategic frameworks, and / or financial statements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to synthesize data and present findings concisely.
- Hands-on experience in building and utilizing complex financial models for forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including complex formulas and functions and data visualization.
- Mastery of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis, with the ability to write queries effectively (or like aptitude in similar database extraction language(s)).
- Proven ability to operate with autonomy and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
