Marketing Manager, Paid Media

Job Description

Join Our Journey at Engine

At Engine, we’re revolutionizing work travel. Our modern travel platform isn’t just about booking trips; it’s about transforming how businesses and their teams experience travel. From seamless booking options with top airlines, hotels, and car rental providers to single-invoice billing and flexible trip modifications, we make travel not only easier to manage but also enjoyable. Backed by powerhouse investors like Telescope Partners, Blackstone, Elefund, and Permira, we’re growing fast—and we want you to be part of it.

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager, Paid Media to lead the charge on discovering, testing, and scaling paid acquisition channels that drive efficient growth. This role is ideal for a performance-minded marketer who thrives on experimentation and wants to build and optimize a diversified paid media portfolio.

You’ll own existing SEM channels and take a test-and-learn approach to uncover new opportunities across channels like YouTube, display, Reddit, affiliate programs, and beyond. Working closely with our product, content, and sales teams, you'll create full-funnel strategies that align with our product-led growth (PLG) motion and are tailored to attract SMB, mid-market, and enterprise audiences.

If you're excited by the challenge of building scalable acquisition systems through creative testing and sharp execution—we want to hear from you.

Your Mission:
As part of the Engine team, you’ll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here’s what you’ll take charge of:

  • Own and manage SEM strategy (Google Ads, Bing, etc.) to drive high-quality, self-serve signups and paid conversions.
  • Develop and optimize keyword strategies, audience targeting, landing pages, and ad creatives to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Run A/B tests on ad copy, landing pages, and conversion paths to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with product, web, and content teams to ensure ad experiences align with our PLG funnel and SMB audience needs.
  • Experiment with new channels or ideas to supplement SEM and improve customer acquisition costs (CAC).
  • Leverage first-party data and analytics tools to refine bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and retargeting efforts.
  • Analyze and report on key performance metrics (CAC, LTV, CTR, CVR, ROAS), providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and new ad technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

What You’ll Bring to Engine:

We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:

  • 4+ years of experience in SEM and performance marketing, ideally in a high-growth B2B or PLG environment.
  • Proven ability to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth through paid search.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and conversion tracking.
  • Hands-on experience managing six- to seven-figure budgets with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
  • Experience with paid social, display, and retargeting strategies to complement SEM efforts.
  • Familiarity with PLG funnels, self-serve acquisition, and SMB customer journeys.
  • A creative and test-driven mindset—always looking for new ways to improve campaign performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • A passion for fast-paced, data-driven marketing with a bias for action.

Cash compensation: The range in base salary for this role is 120,000- 150,000 with upside potential based on performance. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise.
