CONTRACT ROLE
Insomniac Games is looking for a Motion Capture Talent Specialist. In this role, the Motion Capture Talent Specialist is responsible for defining, tracking, preparing for, and enabling on time delivery of content for each motion capture shoot. Create, modify, and maintain motion capture schedules within the cinematics team. Acts as a liaison with external vendors, outsourcing partners, motion capture specialists and talent. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple disciplines involved in the creation and delivery of cinematic assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aligns external vendors on talent availability, coordinates with stage holds and production needs, while adhering to the department's best standards and practices for scheduling
- Coordinates multiple disciplines (Animation, Character TD, etc.) involved in the creation and delivery of cinematic assets.
- Coordinates with production leadership to define content for each motion capture shoot
- Secures talent holds and bookings, including stunt actors (as needed)
- Communicates shoot dates to all attendees and crew, including remote workers
- Responsible for the execution of all talent contracts and rate confirmations
- Ensures all content is available and prepared for each shoot day, including but not limited to: Latest character rigs, rigged props, set geometry, scripts, video reference, shot list
- Communicates data turnaround dates, missing data, and processing priority to external vendors
- Tracks, manages, and communicates related budget status to internal stakeholders
- Liaison / organizes between outsource vendors and talent for scan sessions, table reads, etc.
- Communicates scan specifications to selected vendors
- Arranges and books additional crew for motion capture shoots i.e.; hair stylist
- Creates and verifies outsourced animation vendor statements of work and contracts
- Consistently achieves and demonstrates Insomniac’s cultural leadership values

Additional Responsibilities, if applicable:
- Responsible for maintaining the schedule and structure of a project(s) and keeping all team members accountable for the project’s timeline and deadlines. May also be needed for project management responsibilities for cinematics

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education
- Five plus years of professional experience or training, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
- Fifteen plus years of professional experience or training, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Experience with motion captured projects in television, games, or film preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of bug tracking database(s) is preferred-DevTrack, TFS, Jira or other industry standard.
Other Skills:
- Solves problems both independently and collaboratively and adheres to the studio’s expectations of cultural leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to present ideas clearly and work well within a large team environment.
- Must be a good team leader and be able to make informed decisions to achieve desired results.
