The Role:
As aTemporary People Partner, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-impact HR support and implementing people programs across teams at Ro, including Communications, Brand, Growth, Finance, and Legal. This short-term opportunity is ideal for someone who can quickly build trust, navigate ambiguity, and drive results in a fast-paced environment. You’ll partner closely with team leaders, contributing to a high-performance and inclusive culture while ensuring smooth execution of people strategies and policies.
This is a 6-month temporary role.
- Act as the primary, strategic HR partner to the leaders of the Brand, Communications, Growth, Finance, and Legal teams to align people strategies with team objectives, ensuring business outcomes are met.
- Drive employee engagement, performance enablement, talent development, and organizational design initiatives across your client groups.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and team development practices, ensuring consistency with company practices and principles.
- Foster a positive employee relations environment through proactive communication and fair application of policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Performance & Growth, Compensation, Recruiting, and Legal to implement relevant programs and policies across teams (onboarding, offboarding, transitions).
- Guide organizational change initiatives and support leadership through growth, restructuring, and transitions in partnership with the Associate Director, People Partner
- Analyze people data and trends to develop proactive solutions that drive positive outcomes.
- Champion Ro’s culture, helping teams stay inclusive, compliant, and connected.
- 5-7 years of People / HR experience at a fast-growing organization with at least 4 years as an HR Business Partner, supporting various teams
- Background supporting various workforce segments, including hourly and salaried, is a plus
- Proven ability to quickly develop trust-based partnerships with leaders and influence across levels of the organization.
- Strong experience in employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and performance enablement. Known for sound judgement and discretion.
- Strong experience managing organizational changes (i.e. building change timelines, communications, and scenario planning).
- Thrives in ambiguity, takes full ownership of outcomes, and moves quickly without rushing decisions.
- A strategic mindset and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude -- no task is too small for you
- Excellent communication and coaching - 1:1 and in written/internal communications
- Working knowledge of employment law

The target base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $135,000 (annualized). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
