The Procurement Operations Manager is a key member of Nabis’ Infrastructure team, responsible for driving measurable cost savings, formalizing procurement processes, and building scalable systems that support long-term operational clarity and performance.

This role leads procurement operations for supplies, services, and recurring operational vendor needs - ensuring that purchasing aligns with strategic goals, meets budget expectations, and enables effective vendor performance tracking. In addition to managing purchasing operations, the Procurement Operations Manager supports infrastructure projects by delivering cost modeling and vendor performance insights - transforming procurement into a disciplined, data-informed function.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Infrastructure’s cost optimization strategy by identifying, executing, and tracking high-impact savings initiatives across supplies, services, tools & equipment, and vendor categories.
  • Set and monitor annual savings goals tied to Infrastructure’s operating budget, reporting monthly performance through dashboards and variance reviews.
  • Define and report on procurement KPIs, including realized savings, vendor compliance, procurement cycle time, forecast accuracy, and pricing consistency.
  • Analyze procurement data using historical spend, category-level benchmarks, and operational forecasts to uncover savings opportunities, inform bulk purchasing, and improve planning accuracy.
  • Conduct benchmarking, total cost of ownership analyses, and multi-bid comparisons to guide cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Market General Managers to ensure procurement aligns with budget targets, operational timelines, and proper financial coding.
  • Perform invoice and payment audits to flag discrepancies, reconcile vendor charges, and validate purchasing accuracy.
  • Leverage spreadsheets and AI-powered tools for forecasting, reporting automation, cost analysis, and procurement optimization.
  • Recommend and evaluate procurement systems or tools that scale with Infrastructure growth and enhance visibility into spend performance.
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing across all Infrastructure categories, ensuring compliance with internal controls, purchasing SOPs, and cross-market consistency.
  • Maintain and refine procurement workflows, including approval processes, purchasing guidelines, and documentation standards.
  • Use forecasted needs and historical usage to guide procurement recommendations, optimize order volumes, and negotiate bulk pricing or cost-effective substitutions.
  • Oversee purchasing system upkeep, including SKU accuracy, categorization, pricing updates, and product lifecycle tracking.
  • Maintain and lead the Infrastructure’s vendor database and scorecard system, tracking pricing, compliance documents, contract terms, renewal dates, and performance feedback from field and internal stakeholders.
  • Track and manage procurement deliverables across capital projects, such as quotes, invoices, service agreements, and milestone timelines, to ensure Infrastructure timelines and budgets are supported.
  • Coordinate vendor evaluations, contract renewals, and RFP processes in collaboration with Infrastructure leadership and market teams.
  • Maintain and evolve standardized procurement playbooks and vendor requirement checklists tailored to specific warehouse types or regional needs.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, operations, supply chain, or business operations roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify cost savings opportunities and execute structured procurement strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets, dashboards, and AI-powered tools for forecasting and decision-making.
  • Experience managing vendor records, purchasing systems, service agreements, and financial reconciliation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain procurement SOPs, approval workflows, and scalable processes across multiple teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Low-ego, adaptable, and high EQ

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
