Job Description

About Offshore Launch

Offshore Launch is a staffing agency that specializes in helping small business owners scale their operations with the top 1% of global remote talent. We are a people-centered agency with a passion for leaving every person and business in a better position than we found them.

Why Join Offshore Launch?

  • Impact the growth and success of small and medium-sized businesses.
  • Work in a people-first, remote environment that values growth and ongoing development.
  • Access comprehensive benefits that include HMO, PTO, professional development, and an overall emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Contribute to a culture that values partnership, service, and excellence.

About the Role:

As a remote Plumbing Project Manager, you’ll manage a high volume of work orders daily, overseeing licensed plumbers in the field. You’ll review diagnoses, validate scopes, and ensure quality control before work moves forward. You’ll act as the technical gatekeeper—flagging issues, clarifying scope, and pushing back on anything that doesn’t meet Stellar’s standards.
You won’t be scheduling, dispatching, or talking to residents. Your job is to speak contractor-to-contractor—to challenge bids, clarify repairs, and keep jobs moving with speed and precision.
This role is ideal for a licensed or journeyman-level plumber who’s ready to step out of the field and grow into a tech-enabled operations role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review a large volume of plumbing work orders per day across multiple job sites
  • Evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos to verify diagnoses and scope accuracy
  • Spot incomplete or inaccurate bids and work with contractors to resolve before escalation
  • Provide technical direction to contractors—escalating quality concerns as needed
  • Ensure all relevant data, documentation, and system entries are accurate and complete
  • Act as the final internal QA before work is approved, scheduled, or billed
  • Use internal platforms and documentation tools to manage day-to-day activity efficiently
  • Collaborate with Stellar's operations team to troubleshoot delays, material gaps, or job issues

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience (residential strongly preferred)
  • Journeyman-level background (required)
  • Strong diagnostic instincts and ability to assess work from photos, videos, and contractor notes
  • Familiarity with common issues in residential plumbing (leaks, clogs, water heater failures, etc.)
  • Ability to spot sloppy fieldwork, challenge assumptions, and steer contractors to correct scope
  • Clear, confident verbal communication—you need to push back with precision, not aggression
  • Willingness to trade fieldwork for full-time remote employment
  • Fast learning curve with new software—this role relies on a custom internal platform, not off-the-shelf tools
  • Organized and comfortable managing dozens of open work orders simultaneously
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written); clear and concise communicator

Compensation & Benefits (to be provided by Offshore Launch):

  • $800–$1500/month, depending on experience
  • 13th month pay
  • HMO coverage (including dependents)
  • 10 Days of PTO, not including holidays
  • Annual continuing education budget

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
