About The Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and resourceful Recruiter to join our Toronto-based Talent team. In this role, you'll take the lead on campus recruitment efforts, helping build relationships with universities and student communities to attract early-career and emerging talent to Cresta. You’ll also contribute to technical sourcing and full-cycle recruiting support, working closely with our Lead Recruiter to help scale our rapidly growing Toronto team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in recruiting while making a meaningful impact across campus, hiring, and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead end-to-end campus recruiting initiatives, including building and nurturing relationships with universities, coordinating intern hiring cycles, and managing intern and new graduate talent pipelines.
  • Organize and execute campus and internal events to foster strong campus partnerships and a vibrant student community.
  • Support technical sourcing and candidate outreach strategies to build diverse and high-quality talent pipelines.
  • Partner with the Lead Recruiter on full-cycle recruiting activities, including inbound application review, screening, candidate communications, and additional support as needed.
  • Organize and execute industry recruiting and brand-building events (both virtual and onsite).
  • Maintain accurate data in our ATS and recruiting systems; contribute to reporting and hiring process improvements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing Talent Acquisition roadmap and projects geared towards accelerating and scaling our hiring practices.
  • Provide support for Toronto-based team culture initiatives and onsite team events.
  • Collaborate with People Operations on onboarding and occasional HR projects to support the employee experience.

Qualifications we value:

  • 3 years of recruiting experience (in-house or agency), ideally with exposure to campus and technical recruiting
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach, and acts with urgency
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in representing Cresta to candidates and campus partners
  • Familiarity with recruiting tools like Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, or event management platforms is a plus
  • Based in Toronto, with the ability to work from our local office as needed for events, interviews, and team activities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn
  • Passionate about creating a positive candidate and employee experience

Why Cresta?

  • Be part of a fast-growing AI startup transforming customer experience
  • Build foundational recruiting programs and make a direct impact on our team’s growth
  • Collaborative, flexible, and hybrid work environment
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities

Perks & Benefits:

  • We offer Cresta employees a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs
  • Paid parental leave to support you and your family
  • Monthly Health & Wellness allowance
  • Work from home office stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment
  • Lunch reimbursement for in-office employees
  • PTO: 3 weeks in Canada

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable. We are actively hiring for this role in the US and Canada. Your recruiter can provide further details.

We have noticed a rise in recruiting impersonations across the industry, where scammers attempt to access candidates' personal and financial information through fake interviews and offers. All Cresta recruiting email communications will always come from the @cresta.ai domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Cresta via other sources should be ignored. If you are uncertain whether you have been contacted by an official Cresta employee, reach out to [email protected]

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
