Why Daybreak Health?

The youth mental health crisis is one of the biggest challenges of our time. At Daybreak Health, we’re on a mission to create a world where every young person benefits from mental health support. We partner with schools, pediatricians, government agencies, and health insurance providers to eliminate barriers to care, ensuring that students can access high-quality therapy when they need it most.

Our teletherapy programs combine evidence-based care, technology integration, and zero out-of-pocket costs to families. We’re backed by top investors, including Lightspeed and Maven Ventures, and we’re growing fast.

About the Role

As a Recruiter at Daybreak, you’ll play a pivotal role in building our world-class clinical team. You’ll own the clinician hiring process, from sourcing and engagement to interviews and offers. This role is high-impact—every therapist you bring on helps us reach more students and deliver life-changing care.

You’ll work closely with Clinical Operations and other cross-functional teams to execute a high-volume hiring strategy across multiple states. If you’re passionate about recruiting, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to make a tangible difference in mental health, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for clinical hires, ensuring a seamless and engaging candidate experience.

  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline of clinicians in our current and expansion markets.

  • Conduct clinical interviews, coordinate clinical interview logistics, and facilitate candidate feedback loops.

  • Expand our recruiting channels by identifying creative sourcing strategies, including outreach to clinical networks, professional associations, and job boards.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to refine recruitment strategies and ensure we’re bringing in top-tier talent efficiently.

  • Optimize our recruiting processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.

  • Ensure an outstanding candidate experience by fostering clear communication, timely updates, and a human-centered approach to hiring.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in clinician recruitment or high-volume hiring in a fast-growth environment.

  • Passionate about mental health and healthcare, with a genuine excitement for our mission.

  • Relationship-driven—you have strong relationship-building skills and enjoy engaging with candidates.

  • Data explorer and process-oriented, with the ability to track recruitment metrics and optimize hiring workflows.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple roles and deadlines without missing a beat.

  • Adaptable and proactive, comfortable in an evolving startup environment where flexibility is key.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in digital health, telehealth, or healthcare recruiting.

  • Fluency in various data studios for tracking recruiting performance and insights.

  • Familiarity with ATS systems and hiring best practices.

  • Understanding of basic HRIS functions.

Why You’ll Love Working at Daybreak

  • Mission-driven work—every hire you make helps expand access to youth mental health care.

  • Fully remote team—work from anywhere in the U.S.

  • Competitive compensation with potential equity options.

  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.

  • Unlimited PTO with required mental health days.

  • Supportive, fast-paced startup culture where we prioritize execution, collaboration, and efficiency.

  • Professional growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling company.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
