The Role
Optery is a fast-growing startup tackling one of today’s most pressing issues: data privacy. We’re hiring a part-time Full Cycle Recruiter for a 3-month contract to lead hiring efforts across both Technical and GTM teams at a mission-driven, high-growth startup.
This contract position (20 hours/week) offers flexibility and potential to scale to 40 hours/week. You’ll work directly with founders and hiring managers to source top talent, drive hiring processes, and build strong candidate experiences.
What You’ll Do
Manage full-cycle recruiting for roles across Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales
Actively source candidates on LinkedIn and other platforms to maintain a strong pipeline
Conduct resume reviews and phone screens to assess qualifications and team fit
Coordinate interviews across time zones and ensure a smooth candidate experience
Partner with hiring managers to define role needs, candidate profiles, and hiring strategy
Maintain and organize candidate data in ATS (Ashby) and Google Sheets
Track and report recruiting metrics regularly to evaluate process effectiveness and support decision-making
Optimize recruiting workflows and recommend process improvements
Draft and post job descriptions that reflect our team and culture
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor's degree
Track record of professional success and achievement
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in startup or high-growth environments
Strong background hiring for both technical and GTM roles
Experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar tools
Proficient in ATS platforms (e.g., Ashby, Lever, Greenhouse) and G Suite
Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time capacity during U.S. business hours
Clear communicator, highly organized, and proactive

Location
Optery is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, but operates as a fully-remote global team. While this is not necessarily a U.S.-based position, working regular U.S. business hours, i.e. U.S. Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones, is strongly preferred.
