Job Description

AI Automation Engineer – Legal & Finance System

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, A.P.C. is seeking an experienced and innovative AI Automation Engineer to lead the development and implementation of intelligent automation solutions across our immigration and finance processes. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing, training, and deploying AI agents that streamline workflows such as visa tracking, financial and intake reporting, document management, compliance monitoring, and client communications.

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in creating advanced AI agents that can interpret complex data and deliver real-time insights. One of the immediate goals of this role is to build an internal agent capable of producing finance and intake reports instantly—simply by asking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents to support various stages of the immigration process and internal reporting needs.

  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and compliance teams to identify automation opportunities in workflows.

  • Develop intelligent tools that enable instant access to financial and intake reports through natural language queries.

  • Integrate AI systems with existing platforms such as case management tools, document repositories, and internal dashboards.

  • Create and maintain intelligent chatbots for client-facing interactions (e.g., status updates, document requests).

  • Apply machine learning and NLP models for document classification, data extraction, and compliance verification.

  • Ensure that AI solutions meet standards for data privacy, legal compliance, and ethical AI practices.

  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI agent performance.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, models, and integration pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in AI/ML development, ideally in a legal, financial, or compliance-heavy environment.

  • Proven experience in creating and deploying AI agents with advanced NLP capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, and Hugging Face.

  • Strong understanding of chatbot development and conversational AI.

  • Familiarity with immigration or financial workflows and related regulatory frameworks is a strong plus.

  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UiPath or Automation Anywhere.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based AI services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure AI, Google Cloud AI).

  • Experience with legal or financial tech platforms and APIs (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, NetSuite, or Power BI).

Why join us? Some perks include catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and more! Come be a part of our growing firm and its opportunities for career development. You will learn and develop alongside a team of professionals with a focus on excellence in the legal industry.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
