We are seeking a Remote Field Engineer to join our delivery department.
In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation and maintenance of our AI-driven ordering system. You will remotely guide on-site technicians through the installation process, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure seamless deployment at restaurant locations.
This is a contractor position requiring technical expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth system operations and delivering high-quality support to our partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remote Installation Support: Guide on-site technicians through the AI system installation process, ensuring a successful setup.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, network connectivity, and software performance.
- Customer & Partner Communication: Clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical users while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Incident Management: Document and track issues using a ticketing system, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to improve installation processes and system performance.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of technical support experience in a SaaS company, preferably in a B2B2C environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, networking, and software integrations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively handle time-sensitive issues.
- Availability to work EST business hours to support customers across different time zones.
- Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Intercom, Freshdesk).
- Full-time availability with potential career growth within the company.
- Familiarity with restaurant technologies and POS systems is an advantage.
