Location: Remote Australia
Compensation Range: $74,000 AUD base with on target earnings at $94,000 AUD plus equity
What We Do:
Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.
We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.
What You’ll Do:
Huntress is adding a Sales Development Representative to our high-performing team in Australia. You’ll be part of a small but elite team of reps focused on building and expanding our presence within the Australian market.
Our Sales Development Representatives will identify potential net-new accounts and engage with already qualified accounts to convert them into meetings for our Account Executive sales team. This role requires both outbound cold calling as well as handling inbound opportunities. You’ll also share our value proposition and answer any questions that arise during the process in a timely manner.
Huntress approaches sales as an opportunity to educate our partners through the value we bring. We rely on our SDRs to generate and qualify leads, make outbound calls, and follow up.
Responsibilities:
- Through a mix of outbound and inbound leads, you’ll create new business opportunities to fuel Huntress’ growth in Australia
- Engage MSPs through phone, email, and other channels to understand their challenges and identify opportunities to solve them
- Have the autonomy to operate beyond your role and help the team improve our process, training, use of technology, and any other aspects of our business
- Work with sales management to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to create opportunities for new business
- Conduct a high volume of calls and other activities to book qualified meetings for the AE team
- Maintain good CRM hygiene and keep leads and accounts up to date
What You Bring To The Team:
- Enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, and competitive environment
- Be comfortable making a high volume of calls (50+ calls/day)
- Be a strong communicator and have good active listening skills
- Passionate about helping others: solving problems through product offerings for your clients, assisting your teammates when needed
- Be a team player; always willing to share knowledge as necessary
- Coachable and eager for continuous improvement
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, asking for help early and as needed
What We Offer:
- Fully remote work
- At least one annual trip to the US for Summer Summit, with additional local events in Australia!
- New starter home office set up reimbursement ($800 AUD)
- 12 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
- Digital monthly reimbursement ($185 AUD)
- Subsidised private health insurance through our preferred provider
- Stock options for all full-time employees
- Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
