The Role
Carrot is looking for an experienced and highly technical Salesforce Developer to join our team. This newly created role will work closely with internal teams to raise the level of technical excellence behind our Salesforce deployment. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience transforming Salesforce from a simple order system to a deeply integrated enterprise platform. You’ll have deep knowledge of engineering best practices in a Salesforce environment, and the ability to manage all backend components. You’ll also be an expert on Salesforce development and integrations, and possess a strong ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of all backend components of Salesforce, including CI/CD, integrations, engineering standards, and administrative functions
- Work with our team of Salesforce business analysts to develop best practices and ensure that development can happen rapidly and safely
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions on the Salesforce platform.
- Manage the technical aspects of Salesforce integrations with other business systems (iPaaS, API integrations, data integrations).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Build easy to use interfaces to gather complex data into strong data structures
- Implement best practices for Salesforce application development and ensure high code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce functionality and performance.
- Stay current with Salesforce updates and enhancements to leverage new features and capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, and applied experience within a Salesforce environment
- Proven expertise in developing custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Deep experience with enterprise integrations, including iPaaS, API integrations, and data integrations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, ecosystem, and security best practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II) are a strong plus.
Compensation
Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $165,000-$220,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
