Senior Applications Developer / ML Engineer
Location: Remote
Client: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) – DAAS AI/ML Program
Clearance: IT-II (NACLC)
Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Senior Applications Developer / ML Engineer to join a high-impact, full-time remote role supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and its secure AI/ML initiatives. This is an opportunity to apply cutting-edge development and DevSecOps practices in a mission-critical environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:

Build scalable software applications using both traditional and low-code/no-code tools

Translate business requirements into secure, enterprise-ready solutions

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, APIs, and automation logic
-
Support machine learning model deployment pipelines using AWS SageMaker
-
Create and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitLab, Docker, and Terraform
-
Apply cybersecurity frameworks including STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-53
-
Implement business automation logic using Appian, Nintex, or Salesforce BPMN tools
-
Monitor model performance and support model lifecycle in production
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data Science, Security, Business Analysts)
What we’d like to see on your resume:

5+ years of experience in enterprise software development
-
Experience with Java, .NET, REST APIs, HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS
-
Strong skills in AWS SageMaker, Docker, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD
-
Familiarity with BPMN and low-code platforms (Appian, Nintex, Salesforce)

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and .NET-based environments

Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements (STIG, RMF, NIST 800-53)

Agile or hybrid SDLC experience

Experience deploying and integrating machine learning models into production environments
Bonus if you have:

Prior DoD or GovCloud experience

Experience with SonarQube, Kubernetes, or microservices

MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (or willingness to earn within 6 months)

Strong communication and collaboration skills
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Active IT-II (NACLC - Secret) clearance

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security)

Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
