Overview

About the Role- Join us in shaping the future of Instacart's enterprise offering for retailer e-commerce sites, Retailer Storefronts. As a Senior Associate, Market Strategy and Planning, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our e-commerce platform by supporting the strategy and sales operations behind our sales pipeline from opportunity to implementation. Empowered by a deep understanding of our platform, you'll act as a subject matter expert during the sales cycle, ensuring seamless customer experiences and innovative solutions.

This team is integral to our growth, collaborating across functions to unlock the full potential of our products and help our partners succeed. Together, we drive initiatives that not only make an impact today but also lay the groundwork for tomorrow's successes.

About the Job

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities across Instacart’s enterprise e-commerce strategies that are applicable to new markets and existing expansion opportunities.
  • Enhance our pre-sales efforts to accelerate pipeline activity from outreach to signature including development of sales collateral, sales playbooks, and training materials
  • Serve as the expert on our e-commerce platform offering, reinforcing Instacart’s value propositions during the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Retail, Marketing and Finance to monitor, track & report sales pipeline to help refine strategies.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the commercial lifecycle and propose scalable solutions.
  • Work closely with the product team to develop bespoke solutions for high-value partnerships.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment, reflecting our value of "Go Far Together."
  • Dive into ambiguity with ownership and determination, showcasing our “Roll Up Your Sleeves” attitude.
  • Contribute to crafting long-term solutions where everyone benefits, embodying our value to “Grow the Pie.”

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in sales/account management, commercial strategy, sales operations (B2B SaaS preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret sales data to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to stakeholders and guiding XFN teams
  • Experience working with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to identify and prioritize opportunities
  • Thrives in ambiguity and executes with limited oversight
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a sales support or strategy role, particularly within retail tech, e-commerce or digital marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with fulfillment platforms and e-commerce technologies.
  • Proven track record of improving sales processes and collateral.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
