We are looking for a Senior Design Manager, CRM to lead and inspire our talented design team, while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional product experiences. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for design excellence, a strategic mindset to align execution with business objectives, and the technical acumen to innovate within our tech stack. As a senior leader, you will play a key role in shaping the design culture, scaling our design team, and influencing the direction of our CRM product areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership & Craft:
    • Ensure design excellence and set a high bar for quality across all products.
    • Oversee the end-to-end design process from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
    • Champion design best practices and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to align on vision, priorities, and execution.
    • Balance feature team needs with foundational UX, ensuring a cohesive user experience across the product ecosystem.
    • Serve as a thought leader in the "Win and Close" space, influencing product strategy through innovative design solutions.
  3. Team Management & Development:
    • Inspire and manage a team of talented designers, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration.
    • Mentor and guide designers in their career development, helping them refine their craft and achieve their professional goals.
    • Contribute to the overall design culture at Apollo, promoting inclusivity, innovation, and creativity.
  4. Business & Technical Acumen:
    • Align design strategies and execution with business outcomes, driving positive impact on user engagement and growth metrics.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the design solutions are scalable, leveraging the full capabilities of the tech stack while understanding its limitations.
  5. Scaling with the Organization:
    • As a senior leader, play a key role in scaling the design team as the company and product offerings grow.
    • Help shape the long-term vision for design within the organization, ensuring that the design function evolves alongside business and product needs.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence across various products and platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to align design strategies with business goals and technical constraints.
  • Experience mentoring and developing designers, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end design process, from research to execution.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels of the organization.
