About the Opportunity
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with FCC program leads and compliance product developers to contribute to the development of the compliance technology roadmap for KYC and watchlist screening, with a focus on platform enhancements, screening engine performance, and strategic data improvements
- Lead independent validation and effectiveness testing of Customer Risk Rating models and sanctions / PEP screening engines (name screening, payments screening, adverse media screening where applicable)
- Identify and support initiatives to enhance screening engine efficiency, reduce false positives, and ensure alignment with the latest regulatory expectations and FCC risk typologies
- Develop testing strategies to assess model fitness, tuning, Type I and Type II errors, and coverage of regulatory risks
- Partner with Product and Engineering to review model and screening engine design and to provide credible challenge implementation choices, while maintaining independent oversight
- Monitor ongoing CRR model and watchlist screening performance and drive enhancements to model monitoring frameworks
- Define and oversee FCC-critical data quality monitoring for KYC & watchlist screening models and data flows; lead remediation of identified data issues
- Develop frameworks and collaborate with product developers and FCC leads to produce reports and documentation to support regulatory readiness and examination preparation
- Stay current on regulatory expectations and best practices for CRR and watchlist screening model governance (NYDFS, FATF, OFAC, EU regulations, FCA, MAS)
- Support the strategic evolution of the firm’s KYC & watchlist screening technology stack in collaboration with cross-functional partners
What We Look For In You
- 8+ years of experience in FCC/AML compliance, sanctions compliance, FCC model testing & validation, or related domains
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic) or familiarity with on-chain data and smart contract transaction patterns
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field
- Deep understanding of CRR models and watchlist screening engines and their role in FCC risk mitigation
- Strong familiarity with regulatory expectations and global requirements for KYC/CDD and watchlist screening
- Experience conducting model validation and/or model risk management in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of compliance-critical data management and data quality controls for KYC and watchlist screening
- Deep expertise in a wide range of programming languages like Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, and experienced with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Amplitude, Power BI, Metabase)
- Proven ability to develop and communicate validation findings and strategic insights to diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Compliance, Product, Engineering, Risk, Internal Audit)
- Practical knowledge of sanctions regimes and screening system configuration (e.g., fuzzy matching, name normalization, list management)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills

- The salary range for this position is $143,000- $257,000
- The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
