The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product (Design Systems) Designer to help us evolve our products' quality, consistency, efficiency, and overall visual language. In this role, you’ll work as a critical contributor to create a unified, cohesive set of UX, visual, and service design guidelines and foundational principles that will serve as the standard for our products. You will work as a bridge between design, product management, and engineering to improve velocity and empower teams to build exceptional digital experiences at scale.
Primary Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Evolve our product design language by creating foundational elements, responsive components, patterns, templates, and pages.
- Build and maintain design system artifacts, including a Figma library, documentation, and tooling across multiple platforms (web and mobile).
- Create high-quality mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate your work. Use user research and data to inform your reasoning.
- Design custom iconography and graphical assets
- Collaborate closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to improve UI craft, consistency, and usability.
- Establish clear documentation and usage guidelines that scale with our product and team growth.
- Champion design system adoption through education, tooling, and proactive support.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 6+ years of experience in consumer product design
- 2+ years working on design systems, ideally having built a design system 0-1
- Have an outstanding portfolio of consumer products that showcase attention to detail and strong foundations in typography, interaction, and visual design.
- Mastery of Figma – auto-layout, variables, dev mode, component libraries, token management, etc.
- Experience working with design tokens and theming.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.
- Experience building systems that scale across multiple products and teams.
- Excellent visual design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Experience working in healthcare or health tech is preferred
Compensation Range
$130,000 - $190,000 based on location and experience
