OPPORTUNITY
Join our Product team as a Senior Product Engineer, where you'll work across infrastructure, backend, and frontend to build and maintain our suite of products. This role requires a strong product mindset, where you'll deeply understand user needs and business goals to inform your technical decisions and contribute to the product's strategic direction. You will have a significant opportunity to influence the product roadmap and contribute to key decisions, leveraging your technical expertise and product understanding.
This role is not just about writing code—it’s about strategically aligning technical solutions with product vision. You should be comfortable moving between deep technical work and broader strategic thinking. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, highly adaptable, and motivated by building impactful products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain infrastructure on GCP, Cloudflare, and bare-metal servers.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain APIs, backend services, and frontend features with a focus on enhancing user experience and product performance.
- Implement frontend functionality across Invertase products, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and a consistent, user-friendly experience.
- Work with TypeScript, Node.js, Dart, Flutter, and modern UI frameworks.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to deployment, automation, and testing strategies to enhance the reliability, performance, and overall quality of our products.
- Continuously optimize our systems for scalability, security, and performance to support the growth and reliability of our product suite.
- Take ownership of solving complex technical challenges across infrastructure, backend, and frontend, ensuring solutions align with product requirements and long-term vision.
- Lead initiatives to enhance developer tooling and actively contribute to product innovation, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to elevate our current product suite.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Skills:
- 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or full-stack development.
- Experience with Docker, container orchestration, and serverless architectures.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Dart.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and cloud platforms (GCP & Cloudflare).
- Experience with frontend development across different platforms.
- Familiarity with developer tooling (Flutter, Dart, Docker, Bun) and modern UI frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in an agile, and fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with infrastructure automation at scale.
- Managing large-scale distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about product development and contribute to product discussions.
- Experience working on infrastructure products or features with a focus on user needs and business value.
