What are we looking for?

BetterHelp is looking for a talented and motivated individual with experience in building and growing successful Business products (B2B) to join our Product team. This individual will take start-to-finish responsibility in bringing to market new product features. This role has elements of project management, UI/UX, Data Analysis and Quality Assurance. Success in this role is defined as proactively identifying growth opportunities and customer pain points and thus promoting overall product quality. This role is well-suited for individuals with a versatile product background (product specialists, user research, product analyst, quality assurance, etc.) and is an exciting opportunity to execute fast and see quick results -- while making a real difference in the world.

What will you do?

  • Propose and evaluate new product ideas and enhancements to drive roadmap, strategy, and long term product vision
  • Gather requirements, work with technical developers, build technical specifications and prioritize product tasks that will achieve maximum impact and benefit
  • Collaborate with design and development team during each “sprint” to create a user experience that is both delightful and effective
  • Own KPIs to analyze and quantify the impact and success of every product change
  • Conduct data-driven experiments to identify product direction and discover research problem areas
  • Read and understand code, query our database (MySQL), talk to engineers and understand how all the underlying logic in our product works
  • Create and execute UAT and function test plans, regularly test critical parts of the product with extremely high attention to detail to identify critical issues (both usability and user-facing bugs)
  • Work directly with our support team to understand customer pain points and their most pressing needs
  • Manage external teams as needed to scale the product quality program
  • Work cross-functionally with all parts of the company (development, support, marketing, business development, operations) in order to convert their insights into product improvements and hence promote product quality

  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our San Jose office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years experience with B2B and B2B2C products in a Product, Business Analyst, or Quality Assurance role.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional area such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Data Analyst, and Support
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, can provide examples of using data to improve a product and process.
  • Extremely high attention to detail, can provide examples of building or improving critical parts of a consumer web product.
  • Great eye for UI/UX and understanding of its related metrics.
  • Be passionate and strive for excellence in everything you do, be obsessed with product quality.
  • Have the patience and persistence required to uncover “hard to find” product issues.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Bonus

  • Experience with the health insurance industry
  • Basic SQL knowledge to navigate and utilize BI tools effectively.
  • Fundamental understanding of coding skills, with ability to estimate level of effort
  • Experience with marketplace-based business models
  • Experience with subscription business models
  • Experience with data-driven, personalization by segmentation
  • Good understanding of marketplace dynamics
  • Experience in both desktop and mobile environments

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable to all full-time positions.
