Job Description

Join Our Journey at Engine

At Engine, we’re revolutionizing work travel. Our modern travel platform isn’t just about booking trips; it’s about transforming how businesses and their teams experience travel. From seamless booking options with top airlines, hotels, and car rental providers to single-invoice billing and flexible trip modifications, we make travel not only easier to manage but also enjoyable. Backed by powerhouse investors like Telescope Partners, Blackstone, Elefund, and Permira, we’re growing fast—and we want you to be part of it.

Your Mission

Initially, you’ll focus on hotel bookings for group travel, but as our offerings expand, you should expect to play a key role in shaping the broader group travel booking experience. You will also drive pricing optimization and gamification, ensuring travelers receive the right price for each booking while maximizing hotel participation and revenue opportunities.

Your success will be measured by increasing automation, reducing cost to serve, minimizing cancellations and support cases, driving adoption of guest management tools, and accelerating the time from hotel selection to booking confirmation.

You will own and optimize the end-to-end group booking experience from hotel selection through checkout, driving both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Hotel selection & matching – elevate automated tooling to surface the best hotel options for groups while optimizing hotel win rates.
  • Agreement & booking acceleration – bring the agreement period fully online and expedite the process from hotel selection to booking confirmation.
  • Guest management & itinerary tools – enhance tools that enable travelers to manage guests, finalize itineraries, and complete bookings with ease.
  • Pricing optimization & gamification – develop strategies to ensure the right pricing for each booking while incentivizing engagement and driving conversion.
  • Automation & internal tooling – improve internal tools that support sales and customer experience teams, ensuring they evolve alongside automation efforts.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – partner with engineering, design, data science, sales, and operations to drive seamless, scalable solutions.

What you should bring

  • 4–6 years of product management experience, with a strong track record of driving conversion-focused product improvements.
  • Experience in automation, workflow optimization, or internal tools that improve operational efficiency.
  • A data-driven mindset with a deep understanding of how to define, track, and impact key business metrics.
  • Experience with pricing strategies, gamification, or revenue optimization to drive engagement and maximize value.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A passion for improving user experiences and streamlining complex booking flows.
  • B2C experience is a plus, particularly in travel, hospitality, or marketplace businesses.
  • Familiarity with pricing models, dynamic inventory, or travel/hospitality tech is a plus.

Compensation
Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience and expertise. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE). Your recruiter will share your complete compensation package as you move through the process.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
